Visual inspection alone cannot establish the condition of an electrical installation. Insulation and earthing measurements support fault investigation, handover and periodic technical assessment. How the work is arranged
Test methods, isolation requirements and access arrangements are agreed before work. Results are documented with the measurement points and relevant test conditions. Earthing results must be assessed against the design and applicable requirements, not a single universal resistance value.
